What exactly do I do?
I am an Art Director that writes. I love being a generalist. I love building out worlds for brands from a great idea.
I come up with ideas, I photoshop un-shootable things, I shoot stuff, animate other stuff and art direct the rest. I always try to inspire the people I work with. I want every project to be the best, most beautiful thing it can be.
Do I do digital?
When we made the TBS Dept. of Humor Analysis at Mother NY, I didn’t know we were going to get a Digital Cannes Lion. I don’t think we knew we were making a ‘digital campaign.’ It just seemed like a great idea to make a hilarious website to noodle around on.
Working with Mekanism I started to think about ideas and digital media as one thing. Social media can make good ideas more interesting - a world where bloggers and real people are your media is just so rich to work with.
So yes, I do do digital.
What am I up to?
In the last few months I have worked on a car racing app/game for Amp Energy, a facebook app for Virgin, the Pepsi Superbowl half-time show, digital campaigns for Pepsi Max, a recruitment film for the State Dept. and an animation for Paul Smith Kids.
